In honour of the Juno bed’s 75th anniversary, Sebra Interior, as copyright owner of the protected design classic, is launching a beech edition of the bed called The Sebra Bed – Wooden Edition. The first 200 beds are special anniversary editions with an anniversary engraving, which can be purchased at selected retailers.
The iconic fold-out bed designed by Viggo Einfeldt is a popular design classic relaunched under the name “The Sebra Bed” which, unlike the old Juno bed, complies with the European safety standard for children’s beds.
With the beech-wood edition of The Sebra Bed, Sebra Interior wants to pay tribute to Viggo Einfeldt and his iconic design, which for over 75 years, has been a trend-setting piece of children’s furniture in Danish design history.
The idea behind the launch of The Sebra Bed - Wooden Edition is to launch an edition that celebrates the iconic design and Viggo Einfeldt’s honest and functionalist approach to design. For the same reason, the beech-wood edition has a transparent matt lacquered finish with visible wood grains, which makes the bed’s basic shape stand out and gives each bed its own expression.
The first 200 examples of The Sebra Bed – Wooden Edition will have a special anniversary engraving. These beds will be released from our warehouse beginning of December and will be available from the following retailers:
