A new season has arrived – one that follows a spring and summer season when everything was very different. The world came to an abrupt standstill. Parents around the world were suddenly spending time with their children in a completely different way than most people were used to. Old, traditional games were brought down from attics and toys with educational value, such as jigsaw puzzles, became popular once more.
Time in lockdown has sparked creativity and interior design projects in children’s rooms... and if you ask Sebra Interior’s Instagram followers, 2020 will also end in a baby boom. That brings hope!
We are therefore very pleased to present an AW20 collection with two new themes and with even more focus on sustainability and a responsible choice of materials – all set for existing as well as future citizens of the world.
Welcome aboard – welcome to a collection and an atmosphere filled with adventure and quirky elements, cuddly new friends and children’s interiors that can follow the little ones on their amazing journey of development.
The sails are set as Sebra Interior embarks on an adventure on the waves with the “Seven Seas” theme in the new AW20 collection.
“Seven Seas” is a wonderfully illustrated and adventurous theme about life at sea. It focuses on ships and sea creatures – adventures on the water with the mythological Kraken and exciting messages in bottles. You will find surging oceans with ferries, frigates, schooners, fishing boats, sailing boats and cruise ships navigating between buoys, seagulls, lighthouses and reefs.
“Seven Seas” also takes us down beneath the waves, where Morgan the octopus, Triton the turtle and Marion the whale swim among shoals of fish, jellyfish and sea plants.
The colours of the “Seven Seas” theme have a maritime feel that is reminiscent of the sea and white horses on the breaking waves. Blue, grey and green tones are mixed with beautiful rusty colours.
Can you imagine a grandfather clock in the middle of the forest? Or a mouse who lives in a teacup? “Daydream” is another Sebra Interior theme that will be launched in connection with the AW20 collection.
“Daydream” takes us on an adventure through fauna, flora and whimsical elements. You are invited into a universe with plenty of room for dreaming. We follow three friends – Bluebell the rabbit, Sparky the fox and Buttercup the mouse – as they go on adventures in the wonderful wilds among flowers, plants and sweet little treasures. Bells, keys, watches and teapots pop up where you least expect them – treasures that help to create a very special environment with opportunities for imagination and fantastic stories.
The colours in “Daydream” are part of an idyllic colour palette that is reminiscent of the elements of nature: a sunset, a spring day or a lake in a forest. Many beautiful colours of the rainbow are represented and combined in an elegant and balanced way.
The two themes appear in a wide range of products including baby and junior bedding, activity toys and games, muslins, tableware, soft toys and rugs. The products will be available at Sebra Interior retailers during the summer.
Sebra Interior’s goal is to offer high-quality Scandinavian interiors for children, with a consideration of people and the environment through more environmentally-friendly materials, improved production processes with lower resource consumption, and recycled products. Interior items for children, which are sustainable and take into account the future of our children and our shared planet.
Sebra Interior is now launching the latest addition – hand-crocheted products crafted from organic cotton and with a recycled filling. The recycled filling comes from plastic bottles that have been collected and cleaned, shredded, re-melted and turned into new, recycled fibres. The plastic bottles are thereby given a new life, instead of just ending up as waste.
With our wide range of GOTS-certified textile products including bedding, washcloths and cloth nappies, Baby Care products bearing the vegan flower from The Vegan Society (which are Ecocert-Cosmos-Organic-certified, Swan-labelled, and recommended by Asthma Allergy Nordic) and wooden toys and furniture that can be used for generations, we are moving in a greener direction, step by step.
